what is "presentations" inside wayground?

lessons inside Quizizz (now Wayground) are interactive instructional modules that allow teachers to present content in small, manageable segments. Each lesson typically includes a combination of slides for direct instruction such as definitions, examples, or explanations and embedded practice questions that students answer immediately after learning a concept.

lesson creation on Quizizz involves combining instructional slides with interactive questions to build a cohesive learning experience.

how the old lesson editor looked and worked

problems with the old editor

80% of our users are familiar with Google Slides, our editor was a steep learning curve for them.

since questions are ultimately added as slides, having a separate entry point felt redundant, it made more sense to bring everything together under one unified “Add”.

redesigned the lesson editor

information architecture

  1. we grouped all slide types under “Add” for a smoother creation flow.

  2. all content editing and tweaking tools now live together for easy access.

  3. we also expanded space to surface smart, context-aware recommendations.

smart recommendations

based on the slide content, we show recommendations of questions, videos and other engaging activities from our pre-made question bank that teacher can add to their lesson with just one click
